Becoming an Adventurer
Why choose Adventures?
We believe that the most important aspect of our nursery is ensuring we have the right staff to care for your child. Our managers are experienced and well qualified early years professionals. When we recruit staff, we ensure that they are dedicated to providing high quality childcare with nurturing personalities and a high level of professionalism as well as the appropriate qualifications and experience for their role.
Your child’s happiness and safety is always our first priority and we place an emphasis on emotional care and development. All children need to feel safe, loved and well cared for and, as well as ensuring these basic needs are met, we understand that all children are unique with their own needs and personal requirements and we care for every child as an individual. In addition to providing excellent care, we believe in providing outstanding learning experiences through enjoyable play. We will provide a stimulating environment to foster a love of learning that can provide children with the best possible start in life. We truly value a well trained workforce.

Join in with the adventures at our nursery
Adventures has undergone a complete interior refurbishment following the takeover in Spring 2017. The safety and wellbeing of each individual child has been thought about when designing and creating each aspect of the premises.
From our bespoke changing area in the baby room to the colour scheme on each wall, selected specifically to help encourage development, our remit has been to offer the greatest possibility for discovery, exploration and adventure, in an environment that promotes positive and relaxed learning. Each room has child-sized toilets, low level sinks and paper towel dispensers offering children ample opportunity to learn about selfcare and independence without having to leave the comfort of their play room. |
The garden is undergoing design to incorporate areas for quiet and active play along with sensory exploration. Children spend time in the garden each day climbing, building, reading stories or playing in our hand-made mud kitchen. Through play based activities, children learn valuable lessons about balance, early literacy, problem solving and getting on with others, supported by sensitive and encouraging staff.
Each room contains high quality resources - ensuring that children do not spend all day surrounded only by plastic toys. We recognise that while plastic is durable and suitable for lots of little hands to use, resources made of more interesting textures promote sensory exploration and creativity which stimulates brain development.

The proven benefits of childcare
Most parents who choose our nursery already provide a warm, caring and stimulating environment at home and really value the different opportunities that an outstanding day nursery can provide.
At nursery, every day is structured around the children’s needs and the whole nursery is set up for the children, especially with the messy learning materials that we may not be able to have in our sitting room at home.
Children will have daily access to:
Alongside the practical activities that are on offer, children can also be each other’s best teachers. Through interaction with other children they develop good social skills, independence while they explore the endless world of imagination that children inhabit and develop skills that will be with them for life.
Every child deserves the best possible start in life and support to fulfil their potential. A secure, safe and happy childhood is important in its own right and it provides the foundation for children to make the most of their abilities and talents as they grow up.
At our nurseries, we work in accordance with the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage).
